Click to add the image.Over twenty years ago, Concannon Wealth Management was founded on the premise that by providing insightful financial advice and developing personal relationships with our clients both the client and the firm would be successful.  Over the years the firm has grown in both size and scope, but the core values that were in place with the first client continue on today; a determination to pursue a course of action that places our clients first in everything we do as we strive to achieve their financial goals and dreams.

As our practice has grown through the referrals of our clients and other professionals, we have had the opportunity to attract and retain a skilled and talented group of individuals to work with our clients.  These individuals represent our key value proposition in sustaining our reputation among our clients and peers.

Today the firm provides comprehensive financial planning and personally manages assets for clients from all walks of life throughout the world.  However, for all their perceived differences, they all share one common attribute: a desire to build a long-term relationship with a professional team that will help guide them through life’s financial complexities.

The CWM Process

New client relationships are treated to a rigorous process in order to determine if our team will be an appropriate fit given the client’s financial position and goals.  Through a series of meetings and conversations the client learns who we are, our culture, philosophy, and what they should expect if we enter a formal relationship.

Once an agreement has been made to move forward, we will typically prepare a financial analysis, which will serve several purposes:

•    To organize the client’s financial data into a format that can be monitored and updated on an ongoing basis
•    To prioritize the client’s financial goals and determine what will be required to achieve them
•    To provide a foundation from which the portfolio platform can be selected and structured
•    And finally, provide a basis from which performance can be measured and value determined

Though the beginning of any relationship needs to be carefully monitored, it is just as important to maintain that relationship over time.  To that end, we structure our contact with our clients according to their needs and our desire to provide information in a timely manner.  For some that may mean periodic meetings with monthly updates.  For others, an annual meeting interspersed with conference calls and web access.

As the founder and Managing Partner of Concannon Wealth Management, Brad has the responsibility of integrating the various disciplines, such as financial planning and client portfolio management into a cohesive strategy for our clients.

In addition, Brad focuses on developing the macro view of the capital markets and economy in order to establish a foundation from which our clients’ accounts are managed. Being in practice for over twenty years has afforded Brad the experience required to navigate the difficulties and complexities of today’s financial world for our clients.

After attending Messiah College, Brad attended the College of Financial Planning and holds a number of industry specific licenses, registrations and designations.  In addition, over the years, Brad has been recognized by his peers and the investment community with various awards and accolades.

Brad currently resides in New England with his family and travels between CWM’s offices.  In his free time, Brad enjoys a number of outdoor activities including skiing, golf, hiking, and is an avid runner.

Katie, as she is known among her team, enjoys two key roles within our firm: being responsible for the financial planning group as well as head of compliance. With her educational background and extensive experience, Katie is uniquely qualified to view our client’s financial position from a holistic standpoint incorporating the various financial disciplines.

The foundation of every properly constructed portfolio is an in depth knowledge of the clients objectives and what it will require to achieve them. As each portfolio is designed with a specific goal in mind, it is the work that Katie and her team perform that allows us to customize and balance a client's account to meet those goals.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Katie has the ability to organize, prepare, and analyze a client's financial position for the portfolio team to then build upon. Without proper planning we would not have the proper metrics on which to judge our performance and the client’s ability to meet their financial goals.

Katie is a graduate of York College where she earned her degree in Economics and Finance. She then moved onto The American College where she completed the Financial Planning Certification curriculum. Katie is currently pursuing her Chartered Financial Consultant designation (ChFC®) with a targeted completion date of Spring 2012. In addition she holds a number of industry specific licenses and designations.

As a resident of the Lehigh Valley with her husband and young son, Katie enjoys being active in the community. Currently she serves on the Valley Youth House Board, is a member of the Lehigh Valley Estate Planning Council and a member of the Financial Services Institute. Recent achievements include being a 2011 graduate of Leadership Lehigh Valley. In Katie’s free time she enjoys kayaking at the family’s summer home, playing tennis, and running.

Guiding a financial plan through the changing seasons of a client’s life requires diligence, discipline, and a long-term perspective.  Dennis has been providing clients of Concannon Wealth Management with trusted advice in all aspects of their financial lives since arriving from Smith Barney in 2008. 

Dennis’ practice is focused on bringing to bear the professional resources required for clients to achieve their family’s goals for generations to come.  Whether the focus is on investment management, estate planning, or risk management, he helps clients to simplify their financial lives and confidently pursue their life’s ambition.  Dennis’ clientele includes business owners, executives, and families who recognize the value of a robust planning process.

Dennis is a graduate of Loyola University, Maryland with a degree in History.  He served as a Captain in the United States Army and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for service in Operation Iraqi Freedom.  He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and is currently enrolled in the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) curriculum at the American College.

He lives with his wife and children in Allentown, Pennsylvania where they are active in their community.  Dennis currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Allentown Symphony Association, the Forum for Ethics in the Workplace, and on the Advisory Board for Catholic Charities of the Allentown Diocese.  In his spare time, Dennis enjoys playing guitar, running, and hiking with his family.

Personal attention and client service are two of the key attributes that Ann Marie brings to our practice.  We have long held that it is not enough to provide superior returns or comprehensive planning, but the ability to understand and respond to the things that are important to our clients.

Whether it is celebrating a milestone in our client’s lives or understanding a family’s dynamics and personality, Ann Marie provides the personal touch that is so important to our continued success.

Ann Marie resides in the Lehigh Valley with her husband Brad and her dog Tucker.  Ann Marie travels extensively, enjoys a good book, and puts the rest of us to shame with her dedication to running.
